Why choose Spry?

Whatever you do, don’t choose us just solely on price. Sure it’s a factor, but  please choose us because you like our style. We feel like we can bring something unique and memorable to your future photos. We are young and stay updated on the latest photography tricks and technology. We use top-notch professional equipment and I would say we like to make our photo-shoots fun and memorable. We don’t believe in the traditional sit on a stool with bright white lights and smile… Let’s get outside for a change and use what Mother Nature gave us as a backdrop. We’ll have fun too, I promise!

Who will be taking my photos?

We usually both attend any type of session. But we are open to shoot solo if need be.

Where are you located?

We are gladly located in sweet Louisville, Kentucky! But we are available to travel.

Do you all have a studio location?

Not at this time. We are on-location photogs and we do have portable studio equipment. Hopefully sometime in the future we will have a place to call our own though!

What kind of equipment are you using?

Always Canon Professional digital cameras. We have a variety of L-series lenses, portable studio equipment, flashes, tripods… the whole nine yards & we definitely have backups for everything.

What is the best time of day for portraits?

We personally find that the light just before dusk and dawn is the best. So if you’re an early bird we’ll get out there just as the sun is rising, or the most popular… just before the sun sets.

What happens if it rains before or during our shoot?

Of course, blue skies or golden sunlight make for top-notch photos. But we find a little rain makes things interesting, we will still go forward with your shoot if only you wish to! Although if it happens to be a torrential downpour we will not sacrifice the expense of our equipment for your photos. In the rare case that this happens, we will reschedule and find a day that works for both of us.

How do you do payment?

We will collect payment the day of shoot before ANY photos are taken. We will explain this when we have a phone conversation or a face-to-face meeting if there is one (it’s not required for regular portraits). We accept cash or check.

Is there a contract?

Of course, we want to provide you with as much photo security and stability as possible regarding your time, our time, and what you receive.

What if you are booked for a certain day we need to be photographed?

We will try to be as flexible as possible, but you get it…we are probably just as busy as you are. Sometimes event dates clash with other event dates. We will try our best to find a day that works for both parties, and if all else fails we will refer you to one of our fellow photographers in the Louisville area. :)

Do you archive photos?

Yes. We have a 2TB system that we download our photos each and every time we do a shoot, and we have a back up on top of that.
